Summer Camp - Day 3 // Turtles, Snakes, and Sci-Fi
Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 09:00 - 14:30
Day 3 of the Summer Camp in Vejle is all about animals, featuring a visit from Terrariet with a turtle, gecko, and snake. Kids aged 9-12 can explore Adam O.'s Sci-Fi world through workshops and activities. Bring a packed lunch, sunscreen, and weather-appropriate clothing. Costs 20 kr. per day; book ahead as spots are limited.
This year's Summer Camp will have a visit from the well-known illustrator and writer Adam O., who is the creator of the fantastic Sci-Fi series The Rusty World, Lulu Lukøje, and The Journey To Ur.
Over three days, we will explore his imaginative futuristic universe:
- On the first day of the Summer Camp, we will dive into 'The Rusty World' and experiment with everything from scrap bots to sticky jelly cola and plastic soup.
- On the second day of the camp, Adam O. himself will visit and demonstrate his best writing and drawing techniques in a 2-hour workshop.
- And if you love animals, you can look forward to the third day, where we will meet a very special animal that appears in almost all of Adam O's books - a turtle. Terrariet from Vissenbjerg will stop by and tell us about their animals, and they will bring along a turtle, a gecko, and a snake.
P.S. You don't need to have read 'The Rusty World' to participate.
