About GoVejle

GoVejle is a volunteer-run community project for English-speaking residents and visitors in and around Vejle (the Triangle Region of Denmark). It exists to make it a little easier to find out what's happening around you, even if you don't speak Danish yet.

It's built in the spirit of an earlier internet -- for exploration, learning, and community. There's no not monetization: no ads, no tracking (mostly, I collect some metrics for UX improvement and debugging), and it strictly not for profit. Just a simple tool to help you find something to do.

I hope it brings its users a bit closer to Vejle and a bit closer to each other.

How it works

GoVejle automatically gathers event listings from local Danish sources and translates them into English using AI. Events are refreshed regularly so you can always see what's coming up. Since translations are automated, they may occasionally contain small errors -- you can always check the original source for the most accurate details. The AI is locally hosted, so content doesn't go into any frontier models and the cost of maintaining this site is minimal (hence no need for ads).
