Read Hour in Egtved is a free, community-driven event where you can read any book for as long as you like, with coffee, tea, and snacks provided. Join libraries in Egtved, Give, Jelling, Nørremarken, and Bryggen for a fun, relaxed hour – great for all ages. Bring your own snacks if attending Børkop Library, which is unattended.
Bring a book, find a cozy spot, and read as much as you can. You can read for 5 minutes or a whole hour – it's up to you. We'll provide coffee/tea, juice, cookies, and popcorn – and at 5 PM, we'll count up how many pages we've read together. Come and be part of the community! Free admission – just drop by!
Which library will manage to read the most pages in an hour?
In 2025, the Jelling Library read a total of 1464 pages – who can break that record this year?
We're hosting Read Hour at the libraries in Egtved, Give, and Jelling, at Nørremarken, and in the Children's Library at Bryggen.
You're also welcome to participate in Read Hour at the Børkop Library – however, it will be unattended, so please bring your own snacks.
