My world in transition

Rasmus Tantholdt takes us to the most urgent hotspots in a world in constant change. He gives us his personal account of, among other things, the Israel-Gaza conflict, which he has covered intensely since it flared up again in October 2023.

Since 2003, Rasmus has been an international correspondent in various conflict, war, and disaster zones. He was the only Scandinavian journalist reporting from Kiev during the critical weeks of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. He has covered the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, and the Arab Spring, among others.

Listen to Rasmus talk about life behind the camera, the ethical and moral dilemmas he often faces, the serious stories, but also the many funny episodes. Rasmus himself feels that he has experienced what others experience in three or four lifetimes.

Rasmus graduated from the Danish School of Journalism in June 2000. He started at TV2 News' domestic news desk in June 2000 and joined the foreign news desk in 2003. Rasmus has received several awards for his journalistic work and talent; he was awarded a German Marshall Fellowship in 2006, won the Steen Bådsgaard Prize in 2009, and in 2012 and 2014 he won the TV Award for Best News Segment of the Year, awarded by the media industry. In 2022, he won the Publicist Prize for his work in Ukraine.
