Philosophical Conversations // Work Life is a free event in Vejle for adults, exploring the meaning and challenges of work through a philosophical lens. Jakob Lovas leads a discussion with a guest, followed by group reflection. Free entry, but booking is required. Held indoors in Vejle C, location to be confirmed.
Philosopher Jakob Lovas begins with an introduction to the philosophical dimensions of work and the ideas we associate with being productive, useful, or engaged. This is followed by a conversation with an invited guest who represents the evening's practical perspective.
We explore work as both an opportunity and a challenge: What motivates us? What gives meaning? And how do we create space for both freedom and responsibilities in our working lives?
The evening concludes with a shared reflection and conversation.
Free entry - remember to book a ticket.
NOTE! The event will be held at a location in Vejle C. We will update the page here as soon as the location is finalized. Ticket buyers will be notified directly.
About Jakob Lovas Jakob Lovas is a philosopher with a background in philosophy and critical theory from the University of Copenhagen and Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. For many years, he has taught philosophy and worked to bring philosophical perspectives into play in both education, organizations, and everyday life. Jakob advises leaders and professionals in using curiosity as a driving force for learning, conversation, and reflection - and his communication is characterized by calmness, clarity, and an ability to open questions that rarely have simple answers.
About Philosophical Conversations Philosophical Conversations is a series of evenings where we examine some of the big questions that follow us through life - but that we rarely have time to dwell on. Each time, philosopher Jakob Lovas begins with an introduction that unfolds the evening's theme and sets thoughts in motion. Then follows a conversation with an invited guest who brings personal or professional experiences into the dialogue.
The evening concludes with a shared reflection, where we together examine what we don't always get to talk about in everyday life - and perhaps leave home with new perspectives, rather than final answers.
The format requires no special prerequisites: only curiosity, openness, and a desire to think together with others.
Suitable for: adults
