Morning Song at ENGEN
Wednesday, December 2, 2026 at 10:00 - 10:30
Morning Song at ENGEN is a monthly gathering on the first Wednesday from 10:00–10:30 AM, where everyone joins in singing Danish folk songs from the Højskolesangbogen, accompanied by a pianist. A poem of the month is read aloud, often tied to seasons or themes. Great for all ages, including kids and teens—no booking needed, free entry. Note: This event is likely in Danish only.
Morning Song is becoming a regular tradition at ENGEN, held on the first Wednesday of each month from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. We gather to sing songs from the Højskolesangbogen (Danish Folk High School Songbook) and enjoy the pleasure of singing together, accompanied by a pianist from the Vejle Music and Culture School.
Each time, we also read aloud the poem of the month. The poem can be inspired by the season, current events, or themes that resonate with us.
From time to time, we invite guests from the local cultural scene who can choose songs, read poems, or contribute their own stories and musical performances.
This first Morning Song is part of the opening program for ENGEN - Culture House and Library and marks the beginning of a new tradition. Mette Dalby, head of ENGEN - Culture House & Library and Vejle Libraries, has selected the songs and will share her thoughts on them.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of singing ability or experience. Free admission - just come along!
