Launch of the Højager Reading Club
Thursday, November 5, 2026 at 14:00 - 16:00
Thinking of giving your finished books a second life through conversation? This is the informal kick-off meeting for a new community reading club in Jelling, where you'll help decide when and how often the group meets. It's free, no booking needed, and genuinely open to everyone from kids to adults — just show up at Aktivitetshuset Højager on Ringvejen 1 with a love of reading. Indoor venue, so no rain worries.
Do you feel a sense of emptiness after finishing a book? Do you want to give the book a longer life by discussing it with other readers?
You can share your reading experience with the other members of the club, and we will all become more knowledgeable and gain new insights by hearing others' perspectives on the books.
Come to the informal introductory meeting, where we will agree on when and how often the reading club will meet.
We will discuss how to choose books for the reading club and get good advice on how to have a good discussion about the books.
Everyone is welcome! No prior experience is required, just a desire to read and talk about books. Participation is free.
There is no need to register for the introductory meeting; just come to Aktivitetshuset Højager, Ringvejen 1, Jelling.
Sincerely, Britta Bitsch (Højager Activities Council), Jim Højberg (coordinator of the reading club), and Else Zakarias from Vejle Libraries.
If you would like to join the reading club but cannot attend the introductory meeting, you can register by calling/writing to Britta Bitsch: 51419443 (email removed*).
Suitable for: kids, teens, adults
