Kirk Fletcher is an American blues musician, singer, guitarist, and producer, born in Bellflower, California.
Kirk Fletcher's musical roots lie in gospel and blues, which he learned growing up in the church in Compton, where he began playing guitar at a young age. Throughout his career, Fletcher has performed and recorded with prominent artists such as Joe Bonamassa, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Kim Wilson, and has also worked with artists including Cyndi Lauper, Michelle Branch, and Eros Ramazzotti.
As a solo artist, he has released a series of critically acclaimed albums and has received several nominations for Blues Music Awards. His music is based on the classic blues tradition, but combines it with a modern, personal, and deeply soulful expression. On the album Heartache By The Pound, recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Fletcher returns to his gospel and blues roots and pays tribute to the tradition that has shaped him as a musician.
