DR Novel Club // Wednesday Group

The DR Novel Club // Wednesday Group is a free, adult-only book club for literature lovers. Meetings run from January to May, with sessions on Wednesdays from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. No booking needed, but spots are limited to 10 people. Bring a notebook and be ready to discuss six Danish novels! Note: This event is likely in Danish only.
At Vejle Libraries, we are creating four DR Novel Clubs, each with 10 participants, who will meet six times to discuss six new Danish novels. The 2026/2027 season begins in November. The four clubs will meet at the library in Vejle (Engen Cultural Center & Library). A librarian will be present at the first meeting of each novel club to get things started; after that, there is no designated moderator in the novel clubs.
The library provides the books for the participants and a meeting room where you can sit and discuss the books. Participants have 3-4 weeks to read each book.
In May, after all six novels have been read and discussed, each novel club will cast their votes for the three best novels. DR will collect the votes from all the novel clubs in the country and determine the final winner of the DR Novel Prize.
Meeting Dates:
The Wednesday group will meet on Wednesday, January 6th, February 3rd, March 3rd, March 31st, April 21st, and May 19th. All days from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Registration: Participation is free of charge. When you book a ticket, you are registering for the entire series. There are spaces for 10 participants in this group.
Registration opens on Monday, September 3rd at 10:00 AM.
