DR Novel Club // Monday Group

The DR Novel Club // Monday Group meets six times in November 2026, with meetings on Nov 23, Dec 14, Jan 25, Feb 22, Mar 15, and Apr 12, all from 7-8:30 PM. Free to join, no booking needed until Sept 3. Great for adults who love reading and discussion. Bring a notebook for notes. Note: This event is likely in Danish only.
At Vejle Libraries, we are creating four DR Novel Clubs, each with 10 participants, who will meet six times to discuss six new Danish novels. The 2026/2027 season begins in November. The four clubs will meet at the library in Vejle (Engen Cultural Center & Library). A librarian will be present at the first meeting of each novel club to get things started; after that, there is no designated moderator in the novel clubs.
The library provides the books for the participants and a meeting room where you can sit and discuss the books. Participants have 3-4 weeks to read each book.
In May, after all six novels have been read and discussed, each novel club will cast their votes for the three best novels. DR will collect the votes from all the novel clubs in the country and determine the final winner of the DR Novel Prize.
Meeting Dates:
The Monday group will meet on the following dates: Monday, November 23rd, December 14th, January 25th, February 22nd, March 15th, and April 12th. All days from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Registration:
Participation is free of charge. When you book a ticket, you are registering for the entire series. There are spaces for 10 participants in each group.
Registration opens on Monday, September 3rd at 10:00 AM.
