The DR Novel Club // Friday Group meets six times in November 2026, with meetings on Nov 27, Dec 18, Jan 29, Feb 26, Mar 19, and Apr 16 at 10-11:30 AM. Free to join, no booking needed until Sept 3. Great for adults who love reading and discussion. Bring a notebook or pen for notes. Note: This event is likely in Danish only.
At Vejle Libraries, we are creating four DR Novel Clubs, each with 10 participants, who will meet six times to discuss six new Danish novels. The 2026/2027 season begins in November. The four clubs will meet at the library in Vejle (Engen Cultural Center & Library). A librarian will be present at the first meeting of each novel club to get things started; after that, there is no designated moderator in the novel clubs.
The library provides the books for the participants and a meeting room where you can sit and discuss the books. Participants have 3-4 weeks to read each book.
In May, after all six novels have been read and discussed, each novel club will cast their votes for the three best novels. DR will collect the votes from all the novel clubs in the country and determine the final winner of the DR Novel Prize.
Meeting Dates:
The Friday group will meet on the following dates: Thursday, November 27th, December 18th, January 29th, February 26th, March 19th, and April 16th. All days from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM.

Participation is free of charge.
When you book a ticket, you are registering for the entire program. There are spaces for 10 participants in each group.
Registration opens on Monday, September 3rd at 10:00 AM.
