DR Big Band's iconic and Grammy-winning chief conductor, Miho Hazama, has taken not just Denmark, but the entire world by storm. She recently released the long-awaited album Frames, drawing inspiration from her predecessors in the conductor's chair—Ib Glindemann, Thad Jones, Ole Kock Hansen, and Jim McNeely—to create new, sweeping compositions that mark a quantum leap into a new era for big band music.
Rarely has the baton been in safer hands than those of Japanese conductor Miho Hazama. This holds true both when the band performs her new compositions and when it revisits iconic tracks from the orchestra's 60-year back catalog. Denmark and DR Big Band have certainly scored a real find with Miho Hazama!
