The 2026 Danish Stand-Up Championship (DM i Stand-up) is a premier event for comedy fans, featuring top comedians and new talents. Hosted by Simon Jul, it's a great night out for adults who enjoy stand-up. Tickets are available in advance and at the door, with companion card benefits for eligible attendees. The classic Danish stand-up brand DM I Stand-up has for more than 30 years been a breeding ground and springboard for Denmark's biggest and most popular comedians. DM's history contains names such as Anders Matthesen, Linda P, Jonatan Spang, Torben Chris, Heino Hansen, Simon Talbot, Melvin Kakooza, Ruben Søltoft, Thomas Warberg, Tobias Dybvad, Jan Gintberg, Lars Hjortshøj, Michael Schøt and many more.
We have to go all the way back to the humble beginnings in 1992 to find the premiere of DM. It took place at Café Din’s in Boltens Gård. It was a young and relatively unknown Lars Hjortshøj who in 1992 won the competition ahead of among others Jan Gintberg. Since 1992 the industry has had tremendous growth, and Danish comedy must be said to have become one of the most sought-after cultural events in Denmark.
Back in the 90's, the comedians performed almost on beer crates and delivered one-liners, but the café's guests drank beer in the bar. Today, stand-up is synonymous with huge arena shows, grand stage design, hundreds of thousands of tickets sold and fan favorites.
From the humble beginnings in the 90's until today, where fantastic new talents are blooming, DM in Stand-up has been an important part of Danish stand-up's development. And in 2026 it is once again time to celebrate the best, most talented and funniest new talents, and as always, you will get to see the best right here at DM I Stand-up.

With a valid companion card, it is possible to get a free companion ticket to most concerts at Bygningen.

Tickets to Bygningen's concerts are sold in advance here.
If the concerts are not sold out in advance, tickets are also sold at the door.
A number of the concerts at Bygningen are arranged by various music associations and self-organizers - including Bluesforeningen Crossroads, JIVE Jazz and Vejle Jazzklub.
