The year is 1720 and pirates rule the world's oceans. Among them are two of history's most fearless women: pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Read! In a time when women were not allowed to set foot on a ship, they defied all rules and sailed side by side with the men.
CATCH THE WIND is a newly created musical inspired by the legend of Anne Bonny and Mary Read. Through grand music, dramatic sea battles and blooming love, we set sail into the open sea - and into the heart of a story about identity, courage and friendship. From Jamaica's pirate harbors to the dangerous Nordic waters, CATCH THE WIND takes you on an action-packed and exciting journey.

Maria graduated from DDSKS Musical Academy Fredericia in 2004 and was employed at Fredericia Teater's ensemble from 2011-2020. Since then she has among other things participated in “Ragnarok”, Det Kongelige Teater, “Drewsen”, Jysk Musikteater, “We Will Rock You”, Herning Kongresscenter, “The Sound of Music”, Aarhus Teater and “Come From Away” and “Wicked” at Fredericia Musicalteater.
Ellen graduated from DDSKS Musical Academy Fredericia in 2024, but had her stage debut already in 2011 in “Oliver!”, MCH Musicals. Recently she has participated in “Charles Tante”, Fredericia Musicalteater, “Cabaret”, Randers Teater and “Jordens Søjler” at Jysk Musikteater.
