CABAL x Gradience

A ROTTING CHRISTMAS is just around the corner, as CABAL and Gradience team up to play The Grinch and ruin the holiday cheer with heavy riffs and devastating breakdowns.

In a simmering and bubbling cauldron of black metal, deathcore, and industrial, the Danish tempo specialists from CABAL brew a scorching musical elixir that rethinks metal conventions and challenges listeners' preconceptions about genres. In 2016, they released their debut EP, Purge, which, with its atmospheric and artistic depth, gripped audiences and heralded a new era for the Danish metal scene. Two years later, their critically acclaimed debut album, Mark of Rot (2018), emerged from the shadows and truly cemented the band as an international name. With the record as their primary sonic backdrop, the five-piece boarded their deathcore tank and toured across Europe, Japan, and North America. Since then, two heavyweight albums have been released: Drag Me Down (2020) and Magno Interitus (2022). Now, fingers are once again sliding scorching hot up and down the guitar necks as CABAL returns with their latest album, Everything Rots.

GAFFA has dubbed Everything Rots the band's most "seamlessly crafted and uncompromising release to date," and in the review, the publication praises the band for their distinctive and genre-defying sound universe with lines such as:

"Cabal has flirted with electronic darkness and metallic synth textures for years, and on their fourth album, they hit the perfect balance between breakdowns so heavy they crack the earth, and industrial layers and icy synths that transport the listener straight into the darkest corners of the galaxy."

GRADIENCE is a Danish metal band from København that, in just a few years, has established itself as one of the most uncompromising and genre-challenging new names on the Nordic metal scene. With a sound that collides blackened death metal, trap-rap, metalcore, and atmospheric synth textures, the band has created an expression that feels both brutal, emotional, and surprisingly original.

The debut EP Ironsight (2024) sparked massive attention, earning praise from outlets including Metal Hammer UK, surpassing 400,000 streams, securing nominations for "EP of the Year" and "Rising Star" at the Den Hårde Tone Awards, and featuring performances at UHØRT Festival, When Copenhell Freezes Over at VEGA, and most recently SPOT Festival 2026, where the band played to a sold-out TRAIN.

In 2025, Gradience was signed to Metal Blade Records — one of the world's most legendary and respected metal record labels and home to some of the genre's biggest names. The signing marked an unusual breakthrough for such a new Danish band and underscored the international attention Gradience has built in record time.

Their debut album is set for release in 2026 and is expected to further cement Gradience as one of Denmark's most ambitious and genre-breaking new metal bands.
