In 2026, Ruf Records' popular live version of the Blues Caravan will once again set up camp and hit the roads for the 20th time. This year, you can experience: Laura Chavez, Matthew Curry, and Elise Frank. The Blues Caravan format remains the same as always: Each top act performs a full live set, followed by all three joining forces on stage in a jam session with energy and intensity to conclude the evening.
Milestones just keep coming for the German record label Ruf Records. The company recently celebrated its 30th anniversary as one of the leading international blues record labels with a series of highly profiled concerts and tours. In 2026, Ruf Records' popular live version of the Blues Caravan will once again set up camp and hit the roads for the 20th time.
The list of artists who have been part of the caravan's history includes many of today's most recognized blues musicians. These include, for example, Ana Popovic, Samantha Fish, Albert Castiglia, Aynsley Lister, Erja Lyytinen, and Joanne Shaw Taylor, to name just a few. The trio of headliners following in their footsteps on the 20th anniversary tour includes an exciting combination of experience, big emotions, and youthful exuberance.
Laura Chavez, hailing from California, is undoubtedly the most established artist in the group. Laura Chavez is an exceptionally talented guitarist, and for many years, she was the musical driving force in the late blues singer Candye Kanes band. Additionally, she has also played countless concerts with the American blues vocalist Nikki Hill and her orchestra, and with saxophonist and singer Vanessa Collier, who also dedicates herself to blues and related genres. Furthermore, Laura Chavez has performed with rock 'n' roll legend Mitch Ryder, but no matter the context in which Laura Chavez appears, she knows how to get any audience on their feet with her solid rhythm guitar work and explosive guitar solos. Her reputation as one of blues' best musicians was confirmed by The Blues Foundation in 2023 when Chavez - after being nominated several times - became the first woman to win a Blues Music Award as "Best Instrumentalist - Guitar".
Matthew Curry is a truly good insider tip for those familiar with the blues and rock scene. For over a decade, the American has played on various stages across North America, where he delights his audiences with his unmistakable sound, a successful mix of blues, rock, and americana. He has shared the stage with true giants such as Peter Frampton, The Doobie Brothers, Blackberry Smoke, and Steve Miller Band.
Elise Frank, the French singer, guitarist, and songwriter, is not a newcomer as a musician. Rather, she is a young artist to watch. Since 2021, she has led her own blues and rock band FRANK, and together they have performed at several major European blues festivals such as Cognac Blues Passions Festival in France and The Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival in Ballyshannon, Ireland. She is certainly going to make many audiences take notice on the upcoming Blues Caravan tour.
Even after 20 years and hundreds of concerts, the Blues Caravan format remains the same. Each top act performs a full live set, followed by all three joining forces on stage in a jam session with energy and intensity to conclude the evening.
