Large, organic soundscapes are built up while Billie Koppel's very special vocal sparkles at the center of it all. The band has a rare sense for dynamics and finesse. They unfold in an impressive format, with soundscapes that range from the very simple, light and dreamy to something massive, large, atmospheric and well-controlled noisy with many deeper sound layers and emotional discharges.
Billie And The Bell consists of singer Billie Koppel, Frank Hasselstrøm (keys) and Joel Gjærsbøl (guitar) - all experienced, prominent musicians with a past and present in bands like The Savage Rose and Catbird and as instrumentalists for a long list of Danish artists.
Billie Koppel, as a child of Annisette and Thomas Koppel, grew up in a musical family. She has been singing and performing since she was little, first as a backing vocalist in her parents' band, The Savage Rose, and later with her own bands Catbird, and most recently Billie And The Bell.
