Barselona has been a central part of the Danish music map for ten years now. Rud Aslak and Rasmus Theodor debuted not with just one, but with two debut albums: 'Legebørn' and 'Hjertebank', and since then they have released music with an unmatched high frequency and almost constant touring activity. Their fourth album, 'Væbnet Hjerte', was released in September 2023 and received a true star shower from the critics, where the album was described as both a 'generation portrait', 'the band's best to date', and 'their most solid album to date'.
Now Barselona is back on stage. In 2026 they established their own record company, RRekord, and the first release from there is the single 'Udsving', which on release day, February 20th, was chosen as P3's Must-Have. 'Udsving' is also found on an upcoming album, which will see the light of day in the autumn of 2026.
Rud and Rasmus have collaborated with the rising songwriter Karoline Funder, who sings a duet on 'Mørket falder ind', which will be released as a single in March 2026 in connection with Barselona's long-sold-out '60 Minutes' concerts together with Copenhagen Phil.
At the band's numerous concerts at venues and festivals across the country, Barselona has received great reviews, where Soundvenue, among others, wrote 'Rud Aslak is born to be the frontman for his generation's biggest rock band.' And their well-attended concerts at Arena, Roskilde Festival and the Main Stage at Northside have been big, unifying highlights.
